Experience
I gained my clinical experience through a psychotherapy internship at the Ward for the Treatment of Neurotic and Personality Disorders at the Hospital for the Nervous and Mentally Ill in Starogard Gdański, as well as at the Community Self-Help Center in Gdynia, where I worked with individuals living with schizophrenia. I also worked at the Psychotherapy Center in Gdynia. Additionally, I co-led support groups for families and provided occupational therapy at the “Szopen” Youth Club run by the FOSA Foundation for Social Support in Gdańsk.
I also worked as a crisis intervention counselor for the “Two Lines” Foundation Helpline, supporting women in crisis—mainly those facing unplanned pregnancy and/or domestic violence. I collaborated with the St. Padre Pio Hospice in Puck, where I co-facilitated support groups for families of terminally ill patients.
My work is regularly supervised.
Work Areas
I work with adults and young adults struggling with personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and various life crises (such as grief, job loss, breakups, or difficult childbirth). I also support individuals facing challenges in relationships with others, as well as those dealing with issues stemming from growing up in alcoholic or dysfunctional families.
Therapy Approach
In my work, I am guided by the belief that change is possible—if one truly desires it and is willing to engage in the process. A person’s life story, even when difficult, holds great significance. When explored in a safe environment and within a strong therapeutic relationship, it can offer a new perspective on oneself, the world, and others. This transformation comes from understanding that what happened “there and then” continues to influence what is happening “here and now". Freedom and authenticity in experiencing oneself are attainable outcomes of effective psychotherapy.
Education
I am a certified psychotherapist, having completed a four-year psychotherapy training program, as well as a trained crisis intervention counselor.
