Experience

I gained my professional experience at the day psychogeriatric ward of the Lower Silesian Mental Health Center in Wrocław, as well as the dual diagnosis day ward of the Józef Babiński Specialist Hospital in Kraków, in a private practice, and at one of the psychotherapy centers in Wrocław. Working as part of a team is an invaluable source of support and knowledge for me, enabling the exchange of experiences and the sharing of day-to-day professional life. I am a member of the Polish Psychiatric Association and its Scientific Section. I subject my work to regular supervision—both individual and group.

Work Areas

I work with individuals experiencing difficulties related to mood changes, depression, and anxiety disorders. I support patients affected by trauma (especially relational trauma), those from dysfunctional families, and those suffering due to unresolved loss or grief. I help people struggling with interpersonal relationships, dealing with loneliness, low self-esteem, guilt, and feelings of inferiority. I have experience working with adults and young adults.

Therapy Approach

In my work, I integrate techniques from various therapeutic approaches, which allows me to remain flexible and more open to the needs of the person seeking support. A crucial aspect of the therapeutic process is the attempt to view the patient's difficulties from their perspective, which is made possible through the therapist’s active, empathetic, and accepting presence, as well as through following what the patient wishes to convey—consciously or unconsciously. I am close to the humanistic attitude, which emphasizes not only deficits but also strengths. When possible and needed, I incorporate experiential elements into the therapy room, which I treat as an invaluable source of information about the patient's current emotional state, visible in the direct, here-and-now contact. The foundation of my thinking and understanding is, however, the psychodynamic approach, which allows me to place the patient’s current difficulties and ways of functioning in a broader context, viewing them through the lens of early relational experiences in childhood and how what is unconscious and unaddressed manifests in everyday functioning. In contact with the patient—even at the consultation stage—I strive to build an atmosphere of trust and respect, which in my opinion is the basis for further work and forms the core of developing a strong therapeutic alliance. In my work, I value honesty and authenticity, thereby avoiding the creation of distance and barriers that might hinder or block the therapeutic process. I consider the therapeutic relationship to be the most important healing factor—regardless of the tools used.

Education

I am a psychologist and a graduate of the master’s program with a clinical specialization at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Wrocław. I also completed postgraduate studies in practical psychological diagnosis at SWPS in Wrocław. Currently, I am participating in a comprehensive, four-year psychotherapy training in the integrative approach, accredited by the Polish Psychiatric Association and organized by the Wrocław Foundation for Mental Health Protection and Psychotherapy Development. I regularly attend workshops, conferences, and trainings that deepen my substantive knowledge, self-understanding, and broaden my perspective in working with patients.

Additional information

At Wellbee, I conduct therapeutic processes both online and in-person in Wrocław. I see great value in direct human-to-human contact and therefore more often invite clients to participate in face-to-face sessions. In my experience, certain issues can only emerge through live, real-life interaction, which is much more accessible once we step away from the screen and enter the safe space of the therapy room. My current professional interests focus on several key areas: Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), the role of the body in psychotherapy, and psychotraumatology.
