Experience
For several years, I have been working as a psychologist and psychotherapist in clinics in Warsaw and the surrounding areas, providing individual psychotherapy for adults, children (from age 3), and adolescents, couples and family therapy, psychological therapy, parental consultations, as well as therapeutic groups for teenagers. Since 2020, I have been collaborating with the ETAPY Development Studio (Mental Path group). Over the past few years, I have also supported kindergartens as a psychologist, working with children with developmental disorders and their parents. I have participated in internships at the Day Psychiatric Rehabilitation Unit at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Work Areas
Individual psychotherapy. I work with adults and adolescents from the age of 15 who struggle with low mood, anxiety, diagnosed mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, low self-esteem, ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, sleep problems, engaging in destructive and risky behaviors, experiencing high stress, crises, and relationship difficulties.
Family and couples therapy
I work with families and couples who come with communication difficulties, are going through a difficult period in family life, and wish to deepen mutual understanding. In family therapy, I emphasize a systemic approach to the family’s problem, where the patient is the whole family, even though most often one member acts as the “delegate.” Family therapy is conducted with the participation of all members living under one roof.
Therapy Approach
In my work, I emphasize building a safe relationship with the patient, based on complete acceptance. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important healing factors in psychotherapy. During sessions, I follow the patient, interpret and name the themes they bring, which helps them better understand themselves, learn new coping strategies, and acquire the ability to form positive relationships with others.
Using a systemic approach in therapy, I consider the analysis of the patient’s family history important, as it may influence difficulties appearing in adult life. I invite individuals who want to deepen their understanding of their behavioral patterns, feel the need to work through childhood experiences, or sense entanglement in relationships with their family of origin.
The start of the psychotherapy process is preceded by three initial consultations, after which we jointly set a regular appointment schedule and discuss the terms of cooperation. Sessions take place regularly at least once a week. I provide long-term psychotherapy.
