Experience
I am a clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience. I began my work in psychiatric wards in Gdańsk, where I conducted individual and group psychotherapy with adolescents as well as family therapy. Later, I worked with adults and also with people with intellectual disabilities. Finally, I supported families of young children with developmental deficits.
Work Areas
In my psychotherapeutic work, I accompany adults experiencing psychological crises and various emotional difficulties. I have experience supporting parents of young children with developmental challenges in their parenting dilemmas.
Therapy Approach
The foundation of my work is the therapeutic alliance with the patient, based on a sense of safety, trust, and acceptance. During therapy, I rely on a psychodynamic understanding of the person, which involves experiencing, processing, and maturely expressing emotions within the therapeutic relationship. This approach allows entering a space of life changes, such as identifying one’s needs and taking the necessary steps to achieve more satisfying relationships with oneself and others.
Education
I have completed a comprehensive training program preparing for the certification as a psychotherapist by the Polish Psychiatric Association.
Additional information
I regularly undergo supervision for my therapeutic work.
