Experience
I have experience working with individuals suffering from depression, bipolar disorder, addictions, autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, intellectual disabilities, and other conditions.Work Areas
One significant focus of my therapeutic work is providing psychological assistance during the emigration process and addressing adaptation stress. This stress can manifest as insomnia, anxiety, fears, physical weakness, concentration problems, frequent illnesses, changes in appetite, harmful habits, low self-esteem, and more.Therapy Approach
While working with a patient, I strive to create a secure atmosphere for reflecting on and discussing difficult situations, and for experiencing a range of feelings and emotions. I am convinced that the better we understand ourselves—our possibilities and limitations—the better we can use our potential and the more strength we have to cope with difficulties. An advantage of the psychoanalytic approach is the possibility for the patient to work on problems at their own pace. I believe that in order to solve a problem and achieve a stable improvement in well-being and daily functioning, it is important to understand the source of the difficulties rather than just addressing the specific problem.
The therapeutic process usually begins with three initial consultations. These consultations help identify the main issues the patient is experiencing, determine whether this therapeutic method is appropriate, and discuss the terms of cooperation. Often, understanding the cause of suffering can help alleviate it; however, the initial consultations typically serve as a prelude to further therapeutic work.Education
I hold a medical degree and a master's degree in psychology. I have completed a 4-year training program for the Certificate of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist at the Hanna Segal Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies in Warsaw.Additional information
I conduct psychological consultations and therapy in Polish, Russian, and English. I regularly attend conferences, seminars, and lectures to enhance my qualifications. My work is supervised by psychoanalysts of the Polish Psychoanalytic Society (PTPa) and supervisors of the Hanna Segal Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies (ISPHS).
For those residing in Warsaw, consultations are conducted exclusively in person. Exceptions include short-term collaboration (6 consultations provided by the employer) and cases where the patient is unable to visit the office (e.g., due to health reasons).
