Experience

I have been working with athletes for over 5 years. During this time, I have worked both individually and with men’s and women’s sports teams. For more than two years, I have collaborated with the Polish Paralympic Committee, helping athletes build the mental resilience needed to face challenges at major sporting events. I participated in preparing the Polish national team athletes for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games.

Work Areas

A common focus area in my work includes: awareness and regulation of emotions, building confidence in one’s skills, enhancing concentration and precise attention control, maintaining motivation based on personal values, teamwork and communication, as well as managing stress and high expectations. I use tools from Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), which is grounded in research and widely applied in sports and business. Since the techniques from sports psychology and ACT are quite universal, I also support individuals who want to boost their performance in high-demand areas, as well as those facing everyday challenges who wish to approach them in alignment with their true selves.

Therapy Approach

As a sports psychologist, my role is to build and develop your mental resilience. This is the ability to act systematically, consistently, and purposefully in pursuit of what matters most to you. Psychology in an athlete’s life is a great opportunity to increase self-awareness. Together with the athlete, we identify areas worth developing that can improve performance both in sports and beyond.

Education

I am a psychologist specializing in sports psychology. I gained my knowledge during my studies at SWPS University and completed postgraduate studies in sports psychology at the Academy of Physical Education. I have also completed Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) courses conducted by the Poza Schematami school. I regularly submit my work to supervision.

Additional information

In my experience, I have worked with various sports disciplines, including soccer, tennis, boxing, swimming, athletics, ballroom dancing, and cross-country skiing. I collaborate with athletes of all ages, from young beginners starting their sports journey to those competing at the national team level. I also conduct workshops and lectures for sports clubs and work closely with coaches and athletes’ parents. My professional interests include sports psychology, performance psychology, mental health, and developmental psychology.
