Experience

I have several years of experience in individual psychological and psychotherapeutic work, both in the wards of the University Clinical Hospital and the Dr J. Babiński Clinical Hospital in Kraków, as well as in my private practice and the Empatia Centre for Psychotherapy and Sexology.

Work Areas

I accompany people with various difficulties in the area of relationships, emotion regulation, self-esteem, mood disorders, as well as those related to motherhood: having difficulties getting pregnant, experiencing infertility, undergoing an in vitro procedure, in pregnancy or postnatal depression, suffering from tokophobia, having trouble adapting in the new role of being a mother. I support women after difficult obstetric experiences.

Therapy Approach

During psychotherapy, I focus on the relationship that is established between the client and his/her psychotherapist. It is in this that, in my opinion, all the previous important bonds of the person who turns to me for help are reflected. By getting to know them, we are able to get to the causes of the difficulties and influence their change, their solution. The relationship is a signpost. Another is the needs and expectations of the person. I explore them with care, I respect them, I do not judge, I do not criticise, but I become curious about them and I encourage the people who work with me to do the same. All in order to achieve goals in harmony with each other.

Education

I am a psychologist and a certified psychotherapist of the Polish Association for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (certificate no 126). I completed a 4-year Comprehensive School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and a 2-year Study of Sociotherapy and Interpersonal Training at the Cracow Psychodynamic Centre. I participated in the first in Poland training of perinatal psychologists Psychological Duty, as well as a number of other trainings focusing on supporting women in the perinatal period (with Katarzyna Skorupska, Elżbieta Wilkowska and Justyna Dąbrowska). I am a member of the Polish Society of Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and the Polish Society for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I periodically improve my qualifications during conferences and seminars. I regularly supervise my work with experienced supervisors.
