I have many years of experience working with adult and adolescent patients in the Day Neurosis and Psychiatric Departments of the Gdansk Health Center, where I led therapeutic groups in addition to individual psychotherapy. Earlier, after a 3-year training in systemic therapy, I worked with families and couples at the Provincial Psychological Clinic for Family and Couples Therapy in Gdansk. I began my professional life with seven years of work in the Department of Child Psychiatry at what was then the Second Department of Mental Diseases at the Medical Academy in Gdansk, now the Medical University of Gdansk. I submit my work to regular supervision from certified supervisors of PTPP and PTP. I also participate in supervision seminars.Work Areas
I work with people experiencing depressive states in the form of prolonged depression and stagnation in various areas of life, lack of satisfaction, a sense of meaninglessness in life, with people having various anxieties that interfere with ordinary functioning, with people struggling with personality disorders that lead to life breakdowns. I also help people with emotional problems in the form of somatic ailments and those experiencing life crises that are difficult to cope with on their own. I currently work in a private practice in the Tri-City area, where I provide individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. Using psychoanalytic knowledge, I also work with couples.Therapy Approach
In my work I am based on the ethical principles of the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, which assume that the most important thing is the well-being of the patient. I am aware that people who come forward with their problems entrust their vital life issues and they should be dealt with the utmost care. The work of a psychoanalytic psychotherapist is based on a therapeutic alliance with the patient and is the basis for discovering the inner life. Knowing and understanding one's functioning gives one the opportunity to choose to change so that life can become more satisfying than it has been so far. It is an uneasy process of discovering the truth about oneself, which can sometimes be surprising, sometimes painful, but nevertheless offers a chance to finally see who we are.Education
I am a graduate of the Cracow School of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and the 4-year Psychoanalytic School of Psychotherapy TriCity at the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, as well as a psychologist with a specialization in clinical psychology and a certified psychoanalytic psychotherapist of the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. I also serve as vice president in the current board term of the PTPP.Additional information
I have repeatedly participated in conferences, open lectures, seminars organized by PTPP and PTP, as well as by other organizations that conduct and promote psychotherapeutic assistance. I am involved in the scientific life of the Pomeranian Branch, the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, I have co-organized meetings, Breakfasts at Śniadeckich, which are designed to promote analytical thinking and build social dialogue and expand opportunities for communication between different groups. In September 2020, I co-organized the national Conference “Hostility to the stranger.”Certificates
