Experience
I have several years of experience in psychotherapeutic work at the practice group “W stronę centrum” in Katowice, where I conduct individual psychotherapy, family therapy, as well as psychotherapy for children and adolescents.
Work Areas
I help individuals who are experiencing loss, crisis, difficulties in building satisfying relationships with others, and problems with managing emotions. I support employees in maintaining work-life balance and coping with stress. I also assist clients in the area of parenting, as well as during divorce-related crises.
Therapy Approach
I conduct psychotherapy primarily in the spirit of the systemic approach, which assumes that the problems of each individual are connected to their family history and experiences in forming bonds with close ones.
All members of a given family are interconnected by a web of needs and expectations, loyalties and obligations, emotions and beliefs, and each person, through their individual functioning, influences the functioning of the entire system in a specific way. Problems that arise can be better understood and resolved when seen in a family context.
In my therapeutic work, I also draw from the psychodynamic approach, which emphasizes the value of the relationship between the therapist and the client.
When working with a person, I place great importance on creating a safe relationship in which one can expand self-awareness, explore their experiences and needs, and begin to influence their life in a way that brings satisfaction.
Education
I am a certified psychologist and psychotherapist. I completed a 5-year training program in the systemic-psychodynamic approach in Kraków, accredited by the Polish Psychiatric Association. I am a member of this association. I obtained my psychology degree upon completing full-time psychology studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice.
I regularly undergo individual supervision in my work.
