Experience
I gained experience during an internship at the Adult Psychiatric Ward of the K. Jonscher Clinical Hospital of the Medical University in Poznań and at the Special Schools Complex in Wrocław. I also worked in a therapeutic kindergarten for children with autism spectrum disorders. I have experience in diagnosing pervasive developmental disorders (Autism, Asperger's Syndrome), behavioral disorders, as well as attention and activity disorders (ADHD). As part of these experiences, in addition to working with children, I had the opportunity to assist their parents.
Experience in managerial positions has resulted in knowledge of coping with stress and pressure in the professional environment. I use this knowledge in my work with patients struggling with increasing tension and stress.
Work Areas
I have conducted therapy for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health issues, including affective disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, pervasive developmental disorders (autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome), eating disorders, behavioral disorders, as well as difficulties coping with stress.
Therapy Approach
In my daily work with clients, I focus on creating a safe therapeutic relationship, believing that this relationship is the most healing factor in psychotherapy. I place great emphasis on psychoeducation, striving to explain the psychotherapy process clearly and patiently. Often, I take on the role of a guide who, together with the client, explores their existing ways of functioning and helps them acquire and practice new coping strategies. When working with children, I tailor therapeutic tools and treatment plans to the individual needs of the child, always adhering to the principle that “the therapeutic relationship is the most healing factor in psychotherapy,” ensuring the child feels safe in the therapy setting.
Education
I am a psychologist and a certified cognitive-behavioral therapist (certificate no. 961). I hold a master’s degree in Psychology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and a bachelor’s degree in Management from Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Additionally, I have a diploma in Pedagogical Preparation.
My therapeutic work is primarily based on the cognitive-behavioral approach, incorporating Schema Therapy techniques and systemic therapy perspectives. I am a member of the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (PTTPiB).
