AREAS OF THERAPEUTIC WORK
I work with individuals who wish to improve the quality of their lives, discover the sources of their stress, anxiety, anger, sadness, and persistent feelings of fatigue. I am eager to conduct therapy with clients experiencing various forms of discrimination, such as homophobia, xenophobia, etc. I have the experience working with individuals with autism, Asperger’s syndrome and from dysfunctional families, especially those affected by alcohol.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
I strive to make clients feel comfortable during sessions, even when discussing very difficult topics. I would like (and have received feedback that I succeeded in achieving this) for them to feel that they are in the presence of a genuine person who is sincerely interested in their concerns. In my therapeutic work, I combine two approaches: humanistic (particularly influenced by Carl Rogers), which places the client's well-being at the center of my actions, and psychodynamic, which suggests that many of our current difficulties have their roots in the past, especially in childhood.
EDUCATION
I completed my therapeutic training in England, which allowed me to get to know and work with people from different cultures and with various experiences. This gave me a broader perspective and taught me to accept diversity with sensitivity. I continually deepen my therapeutic knowledge; a few months ago, I started further studies at a university in the United Kingdom.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
To gain the most diverse experience possible, I have worked in many places, aiming to acquire a wide range of skills. I have experience of working with the victims of abuse, clients with the symptoms of burnout, depression, anxiety, hoarding disorder, terminal illnesses, individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities, and their families. Currently, I run a private practice and work in a centre where I conduct therapy with individuals facing various challenges and problems.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In my calendar, I only offer single appointments, but that doesn't mean the client won't be able to continue therapy; quite the opposite. If, for example, 10:00 on Wednesday is available, it means that all other Wednesday slots (at 10:00) will be available for this person.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their ethical code. My work undergoes regular supervision, both individual and a group one.
